The Plant Cycle

Today in class we discussed the plant cycle in science. The students got into groups and found the different puzzle pieces that completed the plant cycle. Then they added labels to the different parts of the cycle.

 

It was really fun to do an interactive and fun activity to wrap up the learning for the day.

 

The water cycle

 In class today we learned about the water cycle. The students created their own visual aide to help them learn about the water cycle. This is the teacher example, but the student's made their own. They were asked to label each step of the cycle. It was so much fun to see them working hard to make their cycle have everything that it needed. Learning in action is so exciting!

Internet Safety

 Today during FLEX time we learned about what it means to be a safe Digital Citizen. We are going to start using computers a lot in class and before we do that, we need to know how we should act on the internet. The students received a virtual and hard copy of an internet safety brochure to keep in their desk and desktop.

Time

 In class we are currently learning about time! The students helped me as we created an anchor chart to hang in the front of our classroom. We worked as a class and figured out the most important things to put on our chart. It turned out to be the minute and hour hands along with how to tell time using them.
